NOVEMBER 2009 MHSOAC MEETING CANCELED
The MHSOAC at its August 2009 meeting adopted a schedule which provided for the First Read of the Draft PEI Statewide Project Guidelines in October and the Second Read in November. All of the public comments that the Commission has received indicate that there is strong broad policy consensus on the proposed Guidelines. However, further work is needed to finalize the technical details necessary to accomplish the goals, policies, and principles set forth by the MHSOAC. As such, the Second Reading and possible adoption of the PEI Statewide Project Guidelines is moved to the January 2010 MHSOAC meeting. This extension of time allows the Services Committee to convene another meeting in December to review the second draft of the Guidelines and allows more time for public comment. The MHSOAC continues to be committed to working with the DMH, counties, and stakeholders to move the PEI Statewide Projects forward.
In addition, the November 19, 2009 MHSOAC meeting is cancelled. There were no PEI or Innovation plans ready for consideration at the November meeting. A teleconference meeting will be held in December 2009 in the event there are PEI and or Innovation plans ready for consideration by the MHSOAC. The date of the teleconference meeting will be posted as soon as it is determined.
