NAMI Patton is a nonprofit, grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people admitted to Patton State Hospital with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and other severe and persistent mental illnesses that affect the brain.

NAMI Patton conducts monthly meetings (third Sunday of the month) to discuss issues effecting the families and friends of the Individuals served at Patton State Hospital as well as the Individuals themselves. The organization invites speakers periodically who are experts in mental health and the justice system. NAMI Patton works with Patton State Hospital staff for the benefit of the Individuals served as appropriate.
