  • FEMA - The primary mission of FEMA is to reduce the loss of life and property and to protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other human-caused disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.
  • SAMHSA - SAMHSA has established a clear vision for its work: a life in the community for everyone. To realize this vision, SAMHSA has sharply focused its mission on building resilience and facilitating recovery for people with, or at risk for, mental or substance abuse disorders.
  • CMHS - CMHS leads national efforts to improve prevention and mental health treatment services for all Americans. CMHS pursues its mission by helping States improve and increase the quality and range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for people with mental health problems, their families, and communities. CCP resources and guidance are available on the CMHS Web site.
  • Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) - CSAP works with States and communities to develop comprehensive prevention systems that create healthy communities in which people enjoy a quality life. These include supportive work and school environments, drug- and crime-free neighborhoods, and positive connections with friends and family.
  • Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) - CSAT promotes the quality and availability of community-based substance abuse treatment services for individuals and families who need them. CSAT works with States and community-based groups to improve and expand existing substance abuse treatment services under the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant Program. The Center also supports SAMHSA's free treatment referral service to link people with the community-based substance abuse services they need.
  • SAMHSA DTAC - SAMHSA DTAC supports SAMHSA's efforts to prepare States, Territories, and local entities to deliver an effective behavioral health response during disasters.
  • National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) - The mission of NCTSN is to raise the standard of care and improve access to services for traumatized children, their families, and communities throughout the United States.
  • National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (NCPTSD) - NCPTSD aims to advance the clinical care and social welfare of U.S. veterans through research, education, and training on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and stress-related disorders. This site is an educational resource on PTSD and traumatic stress, for veterans and also for mental healthcare providers, researchers, and the general public.
